By Road
From Mumbai: Alibag is approximately 95 kilometers away from Central Mumbai. Take the Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Trans Harbour Link from Sewri to Belondakhar. Continue onto NH66 until you reach the Pen junction. Take a left turn at the junction and follow the signboards directing you to Alibag. The journey usually takes around 3 hours, depending on traffic conditions.
From Pune: Alibag is around 143 kilometers away from Pune. Take the Pune-Mumbai Expressway and drive towards Panvel. Once you reach Panvel, continue on the Mumbai-Goa Highway (NH 66) towards Pen. At the Pen junction, take a right turn and follow the signs leading to Alibag. The journey usually takes approximately 4 hours.
By Public Transportation
Buses: State transport buses operate regular services from Mumbai and Pune to Alibag. You can board a bus from Mumbai’s Dadar for Pune’s Swargate bus depot. The journey duration varies depending on the traffic and bus type. Buses are an economical option, and you can enjoy the scenic views along the way.
Trains: The nearest railway station to Alibag is Pen Railway Station, which is well-connected to Mumbai and Pune. From Pen, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Alibag, which is approximately 30 kilometers away.

By Ferry
From Mumbai: You can also reach Alibag by ferry from Mumbai. The ferry service operates from the Gateway of India in Mumbai to Mandwa Jetty in Alibag. Regular ferry services are available, and the journey takes around 1 hour. Once you reach Mandwa Jetty, you can hire a rickshaw to Shaant Beach Resort. These services are discontinued during the monsoon season and restart only during the month of September.
M2M Ferries
From Mumbai: An alternative ferry is available from Mazgaon, Maharashtra’s first Ro-Pax ferry service between Mumbai and Mandwa in less than 60 minutes. Passengers can travel with vehicles and without. They accept all types of vehicles – cars, buses, motorbikes and cycles.
